Beautiful and glowing, Brekke, and her adorable, loving husband, Baron, are expecting their first baby boy in June!  To capture these two, (and that gorgeous light and sunset!) during this special time for them was such a joy and such a pleasure!  Brekke mentioned how fast her pregnancy has gone and she can imagine how fast her little boy is going to grow up!  I know it meant the world to take that time out to embrace her pregnancy.  I am so honored to be working with you both!  Thank you again, Brekke and Baron!

A girls’ day out!  Meet Kelly and her girlfriends!  After winning the “Best of 2011” contest, Kelly had the idea to share her complimentary lifestyle session with her girls!  I was so excited for this idea!  She explained that moms are always behind the camera, chasing their kids and don’t often get too much “me” time.  They decided to make a day of it by getting dressed up, sharing stories over a bottle of wine and treating themselves to dinner, while the kiddos were home with dad!  Below are a few of my favorites!

They each brought a picture of their kids!  Proud mommies 🙂

I had a blast with you ladies!  Thank you so much for this opportunity AND for braving through the wind!  You all are beautiful!

You may remember Sarah Katherine from last November when we met up for her high school senior session!  It was a bitter cold Fall day on Monte Sano and SK was a trooper.  When her mom won a complimentary mini session from the “Best of 2011” contest hosted in the beginning of this year, we decided to meet up for a Spring session for Sarah Katherine!  This time we headed to Burritt on the Mountain and it was MUCH warmer for SK!  This was my first time exploring at the Burritt and I’m sure it won’t be my last!  I’m in love with Springtime!  Below are a few of my favorites 🙂

That beautiful white dress she’s wearing is her graduation dress!

Thank you Lisa and Sarah Katherine for another delightful session!  SK, congratulations on your upcoming graduation!

2011 was a year to remember and a year I’ll never forget.

  • It was the year I got my business license in the State of Alabama and officially made it official (come February it will be a year!).
  • I *attempted* P90x.
  • I became an Aunt and realized I have so much love I don’t even know how to express.
  • I racked up quite the mileage driving to and from Alabama to Ohio.. so thankful it’s only a 6 hour drive! (but seriously, most of the time my family and friends didn’t where I was).
  • I ran a Huntsville Groupon Deal of the Day which has allowed me to meet so many wonderful families and couples! I am extremely grateful for its success so far!
  • The first of my friends started getting hitched (meaning mini reunions)!
  • I celebrated my one year anniversary working part-time for Bella Baby Photography… which also means I’ve been in Huntsville for over a year now!
  • I realized just how admirable, loving and inspirational grandparents are. I hope I never forget the times I shared with them. Lots of love to A.F., Papa, Grandma Jody and Nana. Miss you always.

2011 was a whirlwind. It was a year of growth. New adventures, travels and traditions. I’m so glad I had my camera along to capture it all. It was a delight going through these images from this past year. Thank you all again for allowing me to share in this time!

Now for a look back.. Enjoy!

P.S. Most of these sessions never got blogged and I am 100% guilty! They’ll be coming soon though!! And a giveaway is to follow! (Hint.. it’ll be time to pick your favorites of 2011!)

Since moving to the South, I’m always on the lookout for new spots for on-location sessions. I’m still not too familiar with the area, so I rely heavily on my Garmin. The downfall of that is I also don’t realize when the Garmin takes me on a detoured route… The other day while driving, I took a wrong turn, rerouted, and stumbled upon Old Madison. I immediately fell in love with the textures, architecture, the variety of the buildings, and the atmosphere. I had to go back. Alex was lucky enough to be my model 🙂 Thanks for being a good sport! He turned out to be a natural. Below are a few of my favorites.

>>> P.S. Have you “LIKED” Lauren Tomasella Photography on Facebook yet for a chance to win 1 of 5 free lifestyle sessions? Drawing is on March 15th! Click here for more details. Thanks to everyone who has already become a fan!
