I could not be more in love with these two. They adore each other so much. No exaggeration. They make it look so easy. So easy. The first time I met Courtney, she told me upfront, “When I get nervous, I laugh. A lot.” She wasn’t kidding. On her wedding day it was all laughter and it was so perfect. Kirk, you’re one lucky guy.

Their wedding was so perfect in so many ways and the details added to it.  The broche that was in Courtney’s hair that was Kirk’s grandmother’s.  The locket that was attached to Courtney’s bouquet in memory of her brother.  The vintage accents.  The colors.  The way Kirk looked at Courtney.  The way Courtney smiled back. The fact that they’re all drop dead gorgeous! That both moms were in tears almost the whole day 🙂 OR, was it Kirk’s best man embarrassing Kirk with his music video.  Ah.  It was all so perfect.

Their wedding took place at Cedar Springs Pavilion in Tipp City, Ohio. I did not believe for one second I was in Ohio. I felt like we were on a tropical island. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky and all you could see was sunshine. It was simply beautiful. Congratulations Courtney and Kirk! I could not be more happy for the two of you. Also, a special shout out to my dear friend, Hillary, for being an amazing second shooter that day! Thank you!

I just love the two of you!  ♥  Congratulations again.  Wishing you so much happiness.

You may remember Erica and Ryan from their fall engagement session over a year ago. They’re high school sweethearts and one of the cutest couples I know. They tied the knot this past November. It was more than perfect. Erica, your emotion was so raw and so wonderful, I seriously have not seen so many happy tears! I think I teared up a bajillion times! Their theme.. scarlet and gray (remember they’re huge sports fans! Go Buckeyes!).. and a personal favorite, their reception was held at the Oscar Event Center at Jungle Jim’s International Grocery!! It overlooked the grocery store! I may be a huge nerd but I thought it was the coolest thing ever! A special thank you to Alicia White for coming along with me for the day! I just love the moments she captured! Especially right before Erica walked down the isle. LOVE. Thank you again, Erica and Ryan, for having us share in your day!

Alicia spent the morning with the boys!

*Love* the images Alicia captured with the tilt shift lens!

Congratulations Erica and Ryan! I wish you both the very best and so much happiness.

2011 was a year to remember and a year I’ll never forget.

  • It was the year I got my business license in the State of Alabama and officially made it official (come February it will be a year!).
  • I *attempted* P90x.
  • I became an Aunt and realized I have so much love I don’t even know how to express.
  • I racked up quite the mileage driving to and from Alabama to Ohio.. so thankful it’s only a 6 hour drive! (but seriously, most of the time my family and friends didn’t where I was).
  • I ran a Huntsville Groupon Deal of the Day which has allowed me to meet so many wonderful families and couples! I am extremely grateful for its success so far!
  • The first of my friends started getting hitched (meaning mini reunions)!
  • I celebrated my one year anniversary working part-time for Bella Baby Photography… which also means I’ve been in Huntsville for over a year now!
  • I realized just how admirable, loving and inspirational grandparents are. I hope I never forget the times I shared with them. Lots of love to A.F., Papa, Grandma Jody and Nana. Miss you always.

2011 was a whirlwind. It was a year of growth. New adventures, travels and traditions. I’m so glad I had my camera along to capture it all. It was a delight going through these images from this past year. Thank you all again for allowing me to share in this time!

Now for a look back.. Enjoy!

P.S. Most of these sessions never got blogged and I am 100% guilty! They’ll be coming soon though!! And a giveaway is to follow! (Hint.. it’ll be time to pick your favorites of 2011!)

Meet my cousin Jordan and his beautiful bride, Kelly. They got married on a perfect fall day. Every detail exemplified Kelly’s autumn themed wedding. From the gold leaf pins on the bridesmaids to the pumpkin name place cards. I loved it. It was so fun capturing my cousin’s special day, as well as spending time with family! Welcome to the family, Kelly! Thank you both again!

Kelly surprised Jordan with a candied-apple station! It was like walking into an enchanted forest..

I’m so happy for the both of you! Your day was absolutely beautiful! Congratulations again 🙂
